The journal is included in the Russian science citation index (contract №407-07/2013 with the Scientific e-library) and is freely available to the registered readers of the Scientific e-library. Each issue of the journal "Proceedings of the South-West State University. Series: Control,Computer engineering, Information science. Medical instruments engineering " is sent to the State Press Committee of the Russian Federation and the Russian Central Institute of Bibliography to be distributed to libraries, educational and information agencies of the Russian Federation, as well as for its further annotation and inclusion in the national abstract journals and publications.
The peer-reviewed scientific journal as a part of the Russian and university scientific-information system participates in the solution of the following tasks:
- reflecting the results of scientific-research, scientific-practical and experimental activities;
- forming the scientific component of the university environment and disseminating academic research;
- identifying scientific potential for the introduction of advanced achievements of science in the academic activities of the university;
- forming open scientific debate to enhance the quality of postgraduate research and the efficiency of scientific works’ expertise.
The journal is published in printed form with the periodicity of 4 times a year. The electronic version of the content, being identical to the printed form, is posted on the website of the university after the issue of the printed version. Medical instruments engineering " correspond to the nomenclature of scientific specialties.
