The Federal Agency on the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) held an International Scientific Forum, dedicated to the Year of Science and Technology. The event was organized by Southwest State University, Kursk, Russia. Representatives attended the event from Europe, Asia, Central and Latin America. The Forum was held in a hybrid format, combining the Days of Russian Science in each of the continents and the Day of Youth Science.

The central regional venue for the Day of Russian Science in Asia was the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Malaysia. The main topics of this Day were education, space and technology for the agricultural complex. Ten reports were presented. One of the speakers was vice-rector of SWSU on science and international relations Dmitry Titov. He told in details about training specialists for foreign countries in Russian higher educational institutions and financing joint researches with colleagues from different countries.

"Our task, as organizers, is to connect the scientific community of Russia and Malaysia to jointly implement projects. On the example of SWSU we can see that cooperation with the research and higher education community of the Asian region can be successful and mutually interesting. We hope that the forum will become a useful scientific basis for our countries, "- shared Dmitry Titov.

The importance and urgency of such events held by Rossotrudnichestvo together with its foreign partners was stressed by Svetlana Kovaleva, head of Russian House in Kuala Lumpur: "I sincerely hope that this conference dedicated to the Year of Science and Technologies announced by the President of Russia almost a year ago, on December 25, 2020, will make its great contribution to strengthening our relations. In this case, in the field of education and science.

The Day of Russian Science in Central and Latin America was held at the central regional venues of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Argentina and the Central American Parliament PARLACEN in Guatemala, with the inclusion of Nicaragua and Cuba. Thirteen reports were presented by scientists from Russia, Guatemala, Argentina, Nicaragua, and Cuba. "We have all the support we need for science to grow. I hope this conference is one of many that will be held next. Nedislav Veselinov, Chairman of the scientific and educational organization "Aerospace Forum Bulgaria" shared his opinion:

"I learned what Russian scientists are doing in the field of research for space. Specifically, about instrumentation and radio electronics. As for the space field, I was interested in the report on satellites, that is why I came".

The Day of Youth Science rounded off the Forum. The speakers were under the age of 35. Students, postgraduates and young researchers presented 12 reports in the sphere of agro-biotechnology, robotics, economics, law and humanities.

Dmitry Titov, vice-rector on science and international relations of Southwest State University, summarized the results of the forum:

"I believe that the forum had its logical conclusion. Each online meeting was unique and rich, and most importantly, fruitful. We were able to exchange scientific information and learn more about the developments and research of our foreign colleagues. All scientists were able to exchange contacts and agree on future joint activities".

The activity of Rossotrudnichestvo and its foreign offices is aimed at implementing the state policy of international humanitarian cooperation and assistance in promoting an objective view of modern Russia abroad. The international scientific forum was able to demonstrate the Russian scientific and research potential to the wide foreign public in three continents of the globe. More than 600 scientists, specialists and students from 12 countries took part in the event. Applications have already been submitted to expand scientific cooperation of foreign universities and research organizations with similar organizations in Russia.
